The Government has started sale of Chanadal at Rs.60 per kg, under the brand of Bharat Dal to make available pulses to consumers at affordable prices. Minister of State for Consumer Affairs Ashwini Kumar Choubey informed to Lok Sabha in a written reply according to the new sources. Bharat dal is being distributed from July 17th through retail outlets of NAFED Kendriya Bhandar and Safal. Chana, Tur, Mung and Masur under the price stabilisation fund to make pulses available to consumers at affordable prices. He said the stocks from the buffer stock are released in the market in a calibrated and targeted manner to control prices.
